I’ve worked with a lot of creative people, and I understand that your work is very personal to you. It’s not as though you’re mass-producing widgets. Instead, what you do is a reflection of your personality and your unique abilities, and it has meaning, both for you and your customer.

There are endless possibilities and your choices depend on your business needs and your resources.

  • What is your most suitable main content form?

The answers to those questions are the starting point for a strategy that will evolve over time.

Voracious readers are usually good writers, and I’ve always been both. When I first started doing this work I had to learn a lot about digital marketing, but writing always came naturally. Being a good writer isn’t enough, though. I had to figure out how to build on that natural ability and become a good editor so I could help my clients tell their stories.

I enjoy organizing most things; trips and parties are big exceptions. Fortunately, that’s probably not what you’re looking for here.

Content performance hinges on organization and management, and I’ll help you identify the apps and systems that work for you.

I worked at a daily newspaper in non-writing roles. Daily newspapers have strict daily deadlines. Seriously, there’s no wiggle room.

I first started in the newspaper’s library, adding news stories to the database and helping reporters with research (this was before everything was accessible online).

My next job was in the production department responsible for pulling together editorial and advertising content before it was sent to the printing plant. I started there during the transition to a computerized workflow and stayed for many years afterward, up to when the newspaper’s parent company centralized those operations. 

Why should you care? Because it means I’m no stranger to changing technology and creative problem-solving, not to mention deadlines.

I’ve been using my writing and organizational skills to help businesses for more than 10 years.
